The vision
A cup of cold water in His name.
Water for Witness starts with a simple act: handing someone a bottle of water. No strings attached. Just a cold drink on a hot day, offered freely because it was freely given to us.
But water runs deeper than that. Throughout Scripture, water is the image God uses again and again to describe what He offers the thirsty soul: satisfaction, cleansing, life. A bottle of water meets a physical need. The gospel meets the eternal one. Water for Witness connects the two.
"And whoever gives one of these little ones even a cup of cold water because he is a disciple, truly, I say to you, he will by no means lose his reward."

Water in Scripture
From creation to the river of life.
Water appears on the very first page of the Bible. The Spirit of God hovers over the waters at creation. It flows through the whole story of redemption, from the flood that judged and preserved, to the Red Sea that delivered, to the rock in the wilderness that poured out life for a thirsty people.
"With joy you will draw water from the wells of salvation."
Isaiah 12:3
Jesus stood in the temple on the last day of the Feast of Tabernacles and cried out, "If anyone thirsts, let him come to me and drink" (John 7:37). He told the Samaritan woman at the well that whoever drinks the water He gives will never thirst again, because it becomes a spring of water welling up to eternal life (John 4:14). And in the final chapter of the Bible, the invitation still stands: "Let the one who is thirsty come; let the one who desires take the water of life without price" (Revelation 22:17).
Water is not just a metaphor. It is the image God chose to describe what He does for desperate, thirsty people. He satisfies. He cleanses. He gives life.

How it works
A bottle and a conversation.
Buy a case of bottled water. Attach a small card or label with a Scripture verse and a link to free Bible tools. Hand them out at a park, a bus stop, a neighborhood event, or anywhere people gather. Meet a physical need first, then be ready to share the hope behind it.
There is no program to join and no fee to pay. If you have water and a willingness to talk to your neighbor about Christ, you already have everything you need.
Meet a physical need
A cold bottle of water on a hot day is a small kindness that opens a door. It costs almost nothing, and it communicates care before a single word is spoken.
Share an eternal hope
Each bottle carries a simple Scripture reference and an invitation to explore God's Word. The water quenches thirst for a moment; the Word offers living water forever.
Point to free tools
Labels link to rfrmd.com, where anyone can read the Bible, follow a daily reading plan and pray through the Psalms, free and with no account required.
Start a conversation
Sometimes a bottle of water leads to a five-minute conversation. Sometimes it leads to a lifelong friendship. Either way, it is faithfulness in a small thing.
